Benefits: Company parties Flexible schedule Free uniforms Training & development Job Description Dog Tired Pet Services is an established and well-loved pet sitting company seeking a part-time Pet Sitter to join our team. We are looking for reliable and compassionate individuals to care for our clients' pets while they are away. Responsibilities include providing daily care, companionship, and exercise, ensuring pets' well-being and safety. A love for animals and the ability to handle various pet care needs such as feeding, walking, and administering medications are essential. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily care, including feeding, exercise, playtime, and companionship. Walk dogs and ensure proper exercise as per client instructions. Administer medications or special routines as directed by owners. Maintain a safe and clean environment during visits. Clean litter boxes and pet areas. Monitor pets' health and behavior, reporting concerns promptly. Provide updates to pet owners via photos, messages, or reports through our secure portal. Follow client instructions to ensure home security during visits. Respect privacy and confidentiality agreements. Qualifications: Genuine love and understanding of pets (dogs, cats, small animals, etc.). Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments. Knowledge of basic pet care and behavior. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail. Neatness in client homes. Ability to follow specific instructions. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Flexibility, including availability on weekends and holidays. Availability for major holidays with additional pay and flexible holiday scheduling. Smartphone for photos, messages, and scheduling. Commitment to working with us for at least 6 months or longer. Pass background and reference checks. No children or significant others allowed in client homes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pet sitting, dog walking, or animal care roles (preferred but not required). Certification in pet first aid or animal care. Experience with pets requiring specialized care (senior pets, disabled). Physical Requirements: Ability to walk dogs for extended periods. Additional Opportunities: Overnight sitting available, with schedules including mornings, afternoons, and overnight stays, lasting from 2 nights to several weeks. Availability for long and short durations, including some holidays, is required. Part-time starting at 15-20 walks per week, with potential for more as business grows. Walks typically involve 1-2 dogs. Cat visits (30-minute) are also available. We offer Wedding Nanny Services for handling dogs at weddings, requiring availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for 1-3 hours, including transportation and dog handling for photos and events.
