Job Description

As a Elite Armed Security Officer - Patrol in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more.

Location: Near South Zarzamora St 

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to provide reassurance to staff and visitors, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and qualified to carry out your duties with professionalism and composure. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to provide reassurance to staff and customers.
• Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific instructions while performing assigned duties.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree or 
• Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role or 
• Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
