Environmental Service Associates are dedicated to cleaning and maintaining defined areas of the organization. Provide customer service to all customers by cleaning and maintaining patient rooms, public areas and service areas by completing task that support departmental and organization processes. This cleaning and maintaining will be defined by specific job/task assignments. Responsibilities include obtaining assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated system, daily assignment sheet or verbal direction; performing other functions such as moving beds or furniture; following departmental/organizational processes to complete assigned duties; completing paperwork to monitor departmental statistics; following direction and proper usage of all equipment used in job performance; notifying appropriate area through work order process to keep all equipment and items throughout the hospital; keeping all assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels including linen distribution; completing other duties as assigned including storeroom maintenance to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards; and using a high level of customer service throughout the OhioHealth organization to patients and other customers. Minimum qualifications include no degree or diploma required, with specific conditions for 16- and 17-year-olds and 18-year-olds enrolled in high school. HS diploma/GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not in high school. Work shift is day with scheduled weekly hours of 8. Department is Emergency Department.
