Job Description

Our HR Consulting Division is seeking an experienced Consultant to deliver exceptional service for our client located in Vestal, NY . This is a part-time hybrid role, 12-16 hours/week, requiring regular on-site work.   As an HR Consultant with HR Works, your knowledge and experience in the profession is valued , allowing you to make  impactful contributions while maintaining a strong work/life balance . 

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, the Consultant may plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity for our clients by utilizing expertise in a variety of areas, including:

• Processing biweekly payroll
• New hire onboarding
• Benefits administration
• Invoice reconciliation
• Employee relations
• Compliance and maintaining the employee handbook
• Special projects

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Current knowledge of State and Federal employment law, including experience with practical application and interpretation of
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to research, analyze and make recommendations.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Flexibility, adaptability and a readiness to jump in and contribute.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and/or payroll system(s) experience preferred.
• Availability during typical business hours, Monday - Friday.
• PHR/SHRM-CP Certification or other related certifications desired (i.e. CEBS, CCP)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• At least five (5) years progressive HR Generalist or HR Manager experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field, or associate degree with commensurate experience required.
