Our internship program at Generac is designed to give students a chance to develop their business and technical skills by assisting with ongoing and project related activities within our accounting department. This internship will introduce the candidate to the Shared Services accounting functions - including Accounts Payable, Cash application, and/or Credit Memos. In addition, the candidate will support various “continuous improvement” projects. The position is a full-time summer internship with extension to part time status during the school year.
Major Responsibilities
Assist the Shared Services team:
Brainware processing - AP automation software failures & manually resolving
AR Cash application/posting offsets to customer accounts
Credit memo processing in SAP
Past due invoice resolution
Excel reporting as needed
Mail distribution
Complete other projects as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s program with an emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Microsoft Excel experience
Conscientious, self-motivated worker with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a group setting
Dependable and organized
