Job Description

Part time Library Assistant beginning with the start of the 2025-26 school year. Assist the Librarian in the daily operation of the library, performing clerical functions related to collection, processing, circulation, maintenance, and inventory of library materials. The librarian will also assign additional duties as needed.

Administrative support (processing new materials, handling clerical tasks, communication with staff, students regarding materials, communication with vendors. Circulation and Access (checking materials in/out of on line circulation system, assist patrons with locating materials). Organization and Maintenance (shelving books, organization of library materials). Patron Assistance (interacts with students, support student learning). Technical skills (familar with navigating programs and databases, background in library operations, independent learner/problem solver). Flexibility (scheduling).

Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent.


* Ability to work with and relate to school-age children, as well as members of the professional staff.

Terms of Employment:


* Part-time, 10-month position.


* 11:00 am to 3:30 pm

* $23.75 per hour after a successful probationary period.
