Kforce's client, a highly successful real estate investment company located in Boston, MA is in search of a Property Accountant. The company offers a highly proven career trajectory, an excellent compensation plan and the chance to work on a group of diverse entities.Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for investors and lenders, as well as annual reconciliations of tenant operating and real estate tax escalations Perform accounting functions such as posting entries, reviewing daily cash activity, and preparing monthly bank reconciliations; Ensure tenant accounts are current and vendor payments are properly coded prior to payment; Keep all accounts accurate and in good standing Provide support in the annual budgeting process, re-forecasting process, preparation of monthly reports, depreciation and fixed asset schedules, annual tax returns, and revenue and expense variance analysis for review by senior management Review and develop a comprehensive understanding of all mortgage documents and management, joint venture, and operating agreements for assigned properties Work with other departments to obtain necessary information for the compilation of the annual financial statements Support the senior accountants/controllers with Asset Management, Construction, Property Management, and other business teams to provide financial information, reporting and budget support, as needed Provide ad hoc analysis and projects as required Requirements BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required 1 to 3 years of accounting experience required; Prio experience in commercial real estate setting or related industry is preferred Experience with Yardi (or comparable) real estate accounting system strongly desired Competency using Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in MS Excel Self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, reliable and committed to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
