Job Title: Social Media Intern

Job Summary: Kimberbell is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about social media and digital marketing to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The Social Media Intern will assist in managing Kimberbell’s social media platforms, creating engaging content, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance our online presence and brand awareness.

Position Type:

• Temporary (July-December 2025)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing Kimberbell’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube).
• Create and schedule engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
• Monitor social media platforms for trends and competitive analysis.
• Respond to comments, messages, and interactions promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media campaigns.
• Track and analyze social media metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated on the latest social media best practices and technologies.
• Support the creation of monthly social media reports.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing social media engagement.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and their functionalities.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in social media management or content creation is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Occasionally required to move about the office to coordinate with team members or access resources.
• Capable of using standard office equipment (e.g., computers, printers, cameras).

‘Day in the life’: As a Social Media Intern at Kimberbell, you will start your day by reviewing the latest trends and updates across various social media platforms. You'll spend your morning drafting and scheduling posts, ensuring they align with our brand's voice and strategy. Midday, you might attend a brainstorming session with the marketing team to discuss upcoming campaigns and creative content ideas. In the afternoon, you'll engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages, and analyze the performance of recent posts to identify areas for improvement. Your day will conclude with documenting your progress and planning for the next day's activities.
