NeighborHealth is looking for a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, you will support our skilled dental professionals, help deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to a seamless and efficient dental practice. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: Direct Patient Care and Support by assisting in patient care activities as directed by a dentist, including preparation of charts, equipment, and x-rays, and taking appropriate x-rays as needed; Efficient Workflow Management by facilitating patient flow, managing appointments, and maintaining an organized work area to ensure smooth operations; Infection Control and Equipment Maintenance by following infection control procedures for sterilization and equipment handling and reporting any safety or equipment issues; Effective Communication and Customer Service by interacting professionally with patients of all ages, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude; Administrative and Clerical Duties by updating supply inventory, navigating dental software, and completing necessary paperwork; Compliance and Teamwork by adhering to departmental policies, participating in required activities, and demonstrating teamwork and self-direction in problem-solving. Qualifications & Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with both internal and external customers; Bilingual preferred.
